Chrome U-box holder NPdrums® pack of 2

The chrome-plated U-box holder made by NPdrums® allows Chinese boxes or toothpicks to be attached to the drum stably and without vibrations. It is supplied in a pack of 2 units with all the necessary parts for mounting on the drum body during parades and processions.

Function and compatibility

The U-bracket is designed to attach the Chinese snare drum inside the drum, placing it in a position accessible to the drummer during the parade. The two chrome plates of 67x15x03 mm are fixed to the outside of the drum, while the metric 6 screws are embedded in the Chinese case to secure the assembly. This system is compatible with all types of Chinese toothpicks and boxes from the NPdrums® catalog.

Pack Contents

Each pack of 2 supports includes the plates, screws in two sizes (M6x50) and the plastic washers necessary for assembly. Longer screws allow clamping in thicker Chinese boxes, while shorter screws are suitable for thinner parts. It is recommended to start the assembly with two screws and check the coupling before installing the complete four.

Advantages of the anti-vibration system

The 2 plastic washers included in the pack are interposed between the plate and the drum surface, acting as a mechanical insulator to prevent parasitic vibrations during the roll. This detail is especially relevant in parades and processions, where the continuous movement of the drummer can generate slack in the metal couplings without this type of protection. The chrome finish of the plates provides corrosion resistance in outdoor conditions.

Recommendations for use

This U-bracket is recommended for Chinese snare drums that are played at a higher height, as the design of the plates allows the position of the Chinese snare drum to be raised with respect to the drum body. The combination of screws in two different lengths offers flexibility to adapt the mount to the specific thickness of each Chinese box or toothpick used by the musical formation.
