Bass drums for Charanga

Charana drums are usually made with less depth and a lighter weight to facilitate mobility during parades, popular festivals and long performances. Its main advantage is comfort when walking and touching for hours, allowing greater agility and less fatigue in the back and shoulders. In addition, they offer a fast and defined stroke, ideal for lively and dynamic rhythms typical of brass bands.

Drums for Comparsa

Comparsa drums usually use larger diameters to achieve a more powerful, deeper, and punchier sound, especially in large shows and outdoor events. Although they can be somewhat heavier, they offer a spectacular sound presence and great projection. They are highly valued in parades of Moors and Christians and groups where the visual and acoustic impact is fundamental.

Drums for Chirigota

Chirigota bass drums usually have greater shell depth, which allows you to incorporate cymbal supports and achieve a deeper and fuller-bodied sound. They are very versatile and comfortable instruments for full rhythmic accompaniments, as a single musician can combine kick drum and cymbal at the same time. This format provides a very characteristic aesthetic and a very recognizable traditional sound.

Manufacture adapted to each musician

In reality, there is no exclusive model for charanga, comparsa or chirigota. Each musician chooses the diameter, depth and configuration according to their playing, physical resistance, type of parade and desired sound.
